APW - Hamilton dial on conversion of Agassiz mvt to center seconds system in imitation of the Borresen-DeLong type, 16S, GF OF case, SW-LS, Hamilton WED styled after others by O'Hara (this one not signed) with sunken center for seconds, Hamilton feet removed and new feet added, lever escapement, 16J, fausses-côtes and microwave pattern NI damascene, s#100738. This watch looks to have been created by a watchmaker that used the dial from a Hamilton with Borresen-Delong center seconds conversion and that modified this Swiss movement to a similar center seconds arrangement with seconds hand riding beneath the minute and hour hands.

Gross weight of assembled watch 80.8 dwt (125.6 g). The earliest Ferguson dials are actually bored and beveled WE-DSD, while the production variety such as this one are WE impressed DSD, made under contract in Switzerland, with all Ferguson patents stamped on back over the rear counter-enamel. The reproduction varieties are all painted metal dials with shiny plain metal backs. The majority of original dials we have handled are the production variety of the impressed type. APW - Illinois, Bunn Special with unusual damascene and rare dial, 16S, GF OF Fortune recase, SW-LS, Diamond, Ruby & Sapphire grade WE-DSD with tall numerals, fully capped lever escapement, 21J, GJS, GCW, fishscale pattern NI damascene created by tight parallel rope-twist formation, s#2649341.
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, fine mvt condition overall, plate cloudiness with some long FS, letter blacking gone, minor patches on winding wheels; rare Diamond, Ruby & Sapphire dial has hl below 8, invisible fracture to left of 12, FS in center; hands excellent; case shows light wear, brass border highlights, some MFS, no dents or dings, ET detail gone at shoulders; replaced bow is tight, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.

Gross weight of assembled watch 68.9 dwt (107.2 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, fine mvt condition overall, cloudy plates; dial with hls, large wax repair by seconds; hands excellent; case shows medium uneven wear, profuse MFS, many light dents or dings, one band dent that prevents the cuvette from closing, detail fading out overall, ET almost completely gone; bow tight, replaced crown shows very light wear; good glass crystal.

Mvt: GRO after needing a small twist to start, near mint mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surface with just a very few minimal MFS; dial near perfect with only a small glaze scratch under the bezel outside 5; excellent hands; case shows almost no wear; some MFS, two very small minimal nicks at perimeter of rear, original brushed finish on rear is still visible; tight bow crown shows almost no wear; good glass crystal.
