DESCRIPTION: EPW - Thomas Wagstaffe, London, verge fusee with calendar, 54mm, silver OF original pair cases bearing London hallmarks for 1785, casemaker's "T C" marking in cameo, "Wagstaffe London" marked white enamel dial, gold hands, hour and minute are beetle and poker style, KWKS, verge escapement, diamond endstone, gilt mvt with pierced and ornately engraved foliate scrolled balance cock with urn at its neck, signed gilt locking dust-cap, s#10091 with matching serial number to dust-cap. CONDITION: Mvt: Running after a twist to start, good calendar function, virtually mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates, few fine scratches; nearly flawless dial with mild fine scratch inside 2; nearly mint hands; outer case shows light wear, an attractive (though somewhat splotchy and uneven) acquired patina apart from interruption by a sticker on rear and some surrounding lighter colored area where sticker once covered, no dents or dings, button latch with good function though with loss of much of button's cap; inner case shows little wear, scattered fine scratches and some small nicks to rear, no dents or dings; bow pivots freely; domed glass crystal with scratch left of center and few fine scratches elsewhere.

DESCRIPTION: EPW - Lepine a Paris, 54mm, silver OF original engine turned case with "L I" casemaker's mark, signed gilt cuvette, white enamel dial, cylinder escapement, gilt Lepine caliber mvt with standing barrel, s#4912 within case.
CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking sluggishly in the dial up position, running with better balance amplitude when dial down, overhaul recommended, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, few fine scratches; dial with patched edge chips between 8:30 and 10:30, light perimeter hl below 6, small fracture tight along perimeter between 2 and 2:30; excellent hands; case shows very light wear, an attractive light patina, no dents or dings, good overall engine turning detail with reduction at rear shoulder; tight bow; good glass crystal.

DESCRIPTION: EPW - Tildy, Swiss, unusual wandering hour dial, 50mm, .800 silver OF original case, cuvette bearing attributes and medallions, "Tildy Brevet" marked multicolor metal dial with attractive color progression from silver to blued from upper to lower portion of dial, sun motif to upper portion of dial, lower portion of dial with aperture for rotating silvered disk with hour markings at perimeter that are read against a stationary needle below dial's center, disk with a central rotating hand for minutes indication, SW-SS, lever escapement, 15J, gilt mvt, s#214 and s#416 both within case.
CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking very sluggishly with low balance amplitude on a full wind, overhaul recommended, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some mild haze to areas of plate surfaces; main portion of dial in excellent cosmetic condition overall with good color though is currently loose to mvt lacking its two small screws at perimeter which would secure to mvt, main portion of dial with some small spots and mild unevenness of color, rotating disk with some darkening and fine scratches; case shows very little wear, an attractive patina, ding to band at left, nick to band at lower right, excellent engine turning detail, bezel seating with some gap to band at lower right; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.

DESCRIPTION: EPW - Barwise, London, duplex fusee with hacking function, 52mm, gilt OF original consular case with incuse "A G J M" marking for casemaker Ann Grove and James Melvill, off white enamel dial, hacking slide under dial at 4, KWKS, duplex escapement with capped escape wheel, diamond endstone, likely 8J, gilt four arm balance wheel, gilt mvt, s#4379 with matching serial number to dial and within case. The balance stop arm of this example is unusual, being located on the top plate.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good hacking function, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with perimeter hl from 3 to 5:30 and perimeter hl from 5:30 to 7; excellent hands; case has been re-gilt and shows light wear, some small nicks, no dents; good domed glass crystal with few very small fine scratches, finish imperfection over lower portion of seconds-register.
ESTIMATE: $300 - $600
