DESCRIPTION: LPW - Elgin, Dexter St, 7J, 10S, heavy 18K gold original M&W HC with spectacular black enamel and clear guilloche enamel idyllic lakeside chateau scene to front and floral scene to rear surrounded by ornately engraved foliate detail with black tracery enameling, scalloped band, bow with chain guards, mock crown serving only as a push to release case front, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial with EWCo monogram, KWKS, gilt mvt, s#333550. Gross weight of assembled watch 50.4 dwt (78.4 dwt). A notably beautiful case with superb enamel detail.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, fine scratch between center and edge of main plate passing between “Natl” and “Watch” markings, some mild haze to gilt tone around center; dial with hls below seconds-register between 5 and 6, hl above seconds-register, light hl from center to 10:30; fair hands, hour with some marring of its tip, minute with a shortened tip and with oxide to the base of its spade; case shows hardly any wear, small ding to upper rear evident to inner surface of lid but with negligible external visibility, no dents, superb engraving detail, clear guilloche and black enameled central scenes are fully intact with only typical mild fine to micro-fine scratches, black tracery enamel perimeters are virtually fully present with only some minimal specks of loss; tight bow, mock crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.

Comes with a 50.5-inch 14K gold (tested) chain with a small replacement gold-filled spring-ring. Gross weight of assembled watch 13.8 dwt (21.4 g). Gross weight of chain 8.6 dwt (13.3 g). A notably beautiful example with charming case scene.

Comes as pictured with an elegant fitted leather Waltham box. Gross weight of assembled watch 29.4 dwt (45.8 g). An excellent example of Waltham's finest quality 6 size watch, this Riverside Maximus Model 1890 is rare having been made in only a single production run of 500 movements.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, few micro-fine scratches, few small bits of oxide to regulator; dial with outer chapter fracture at 11:30, small fracture to lower-right corner of center section; fine-plus hands, oxide to spade and tip of minute; case shows hardly any wear, small dent to band at 7, few small nicks to rear, superb crisp engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; clean plastic crystal.
