DESCRIPTION: LPW - J. Assmann, Glashütte, 39mm, 18K gold original J. Assmann HC with magnificent engraving detail, front and rear with lion's rampant set against a stippled and darkened background, signed gold cuvette bearing attributes, engraved pendant and bow, engraved silver dial with applied multicolor gold floral detail, SW-shift-locking-LS with setting released by depressing crown, lever escapement, 15J, nickel damascene, s#10425 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 35.2 dwt (54.9 g). An exquisitely beautiful gold hunting case pendant watch made for the South American market.
CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking very sluggishly with low amplitude on a full wind, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, short micro-fine scratch adjacent larger winding wheel; excellent dial with some small bits of black loss to some hour numerals, some mild micro-fine scratches within seconds-register; excellent hands, hour and minute are blue, seconds-hand is plum colored; case shows no wear, no dents or dings, exquisite crisp engraving detail, front and rear central fields were presumably darkened with black wax and front field is a somewhat darker tone relative to rear; tight bow, crown shows virtually no wear; good glass crystal.

DESCRIPTION: LPW - Elgin, 11J, 8S, heavy 14K multicolor gold drum style original HC with magnificent lighthouse and seaside detail to rear, lighthouse with an inset diamond as its lamp, rose gold shield surrounded by multicolor floral detail to front, front and rear perimeters with multicolor floral detail, gold cuvette, bow with chain guards, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, gilt mvt, s#1353300. Gross weight of assembled watch 47.9 dwt (74.5 g). A truly spectacular multicolor case with its unusual rear detail of a lighthouse with diamond lamp set atop a green base, with two sailboats navigating the choppy waters, and with a setting sun on the horizon. Simply an exceptionally eye-appealing piece sure to stand out among a multicolor gold collection.
CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking somewhat sluggishly on a full wind, overhaul recommended, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, gilt plates with some haze, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, some ultra-fine scratch striations likely from a past wiping; visible portion of dial with perimeter hls between 10 and 12, mild hand rub within seconds-register; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, scattered micro-fine scratches, no dents or dings, superb engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.

Gross weight of assembled watch 38.8 dwt (60.3 g). A remarkably beautiful pendant watch with exquisite crisp engraving detail and all enameling intact.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, winding mechanism is stiff and tends to disengage, overhaul recommended or needed to the extent that winding mechanism disengagement remains an issue, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with some toning, small fine scratches adjacent stem detent screw, few small micro-fine scratches and small surface spots elsewhere, brass escape wheel cap setting has darkened, some oxide to portions of steelwork; visible portion of dial with light hl through its seconds-register; excellent hands of mismatched color, hour and minute plum colored, seconds-hand is blue; case shows virtually no wear, no dents or dings, exquisite crisp engraving detail, black enameling fully intact with only a short fine scratch toward right perimeter of rear, all diamonds present; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.

DESCRIPTION: LPW - Illinois, Mary Stuart, 15J, 8S, 14K gold drum style original A.W.Co. HC with attractive engine turning and engraving detail, front shield with initial, gold cuvette with engraved name, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, gilt mvt, marked "Adjusted," s#103385. Gross weight of assembled watch 42.3 dwt (65.7 g). A rare watch with a total production of 400 made; intact original examples with gold case are seldom seen. The Mary Stuart was named for the Illinois Watch Co's President's wife and was the highest quality of the named 8 size Illinois grades. This particular example was formerly owned by Illinois Watch Co. author and researcher Bill Meggers and comes with his distinctive inventory card and bag as pictured noting his acquisition of the watch for $590 in 1980, his observations of the watch, and noting all repairs during his ownership.
CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking somewhat sluggishly on a full wind, overhaul recommended, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, good gilt tone, some mild haze spots and few micro-fine scratches; dial with scattered light hls; fine hands, hour and minute are blue, seconds-hand is plum colored; case shows very little wear, few pinpoint nicks, excellent engine turning and engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.

DESCRIPTION: LPW - Omega, Swiss, lady's miniature pendant watch, 23mm, platinum (tested) OF original case with exquisite applied diamond inset lattice overlay with central blue and white cameo of a cherub playing the lyre set within an octagonal frame of diamonds, diamond borders to rear and bezel, fancy diamond set bow, white enamel dial, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, 18-19J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#4321605. Comes with a 14K white gold 17.75 inch necklace chain, with a red Omega display box, and with an archive letter stating that the watch was made in the factory on March 7th, 1914 and listing its correctly matched movement and case serial numbers. Gross weight of assembled watch 10.5 dwt (16.3 g). Gross weight of necklace chain 2.7 dwt (4.1 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking somewhat sluggishly after a twist to start, overhaul recommended, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, toning to plates, oxide to steelwork; dial with light blue hl between center and 6:30, light hl at 1; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, lower portion of case band with some abrasions, small bits of discoloration, and two small nubs that appear to be the remains of a bail that was once present and at some time later removed, case otherwise with few pinpoint nicks, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail, enamel detail is fully intact, diamonds are present with the exception of one diamond missing to right rear perimeter; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal. Box in excellent cosmetic condition overall, area of finish loss to upper-left of top, few small bits of finish loss at corners.

DESCRIPTION: LPW - Patek Philippe, Genève, mvt, case, and dial marked for retailer Spaulding & Co. of Chicago, 30mm, 18K gold OF original PP.Co case with exquisite blue colored guilloche enamel and fancy gold wreath to rear framed by rings of white enamel and floral engraving, fancy bow with attached 14K gold (tested) swivel jump ring allowing swivel function as a pendant, gold cuvette with signature ring for Patek Philippe and retailer, cuvette also with 1906 Christmas presentation engraving, white enamel dial, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, 18J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#134427 with matching serial number to cuvette. Gross weight of assembled watch and attached jump ring 14.0 dwt (21.7 g). Currently in need of restoration for running condition and in need of an hour hand, but the magnificent enameled case makes this Patek Philippe eminently worthy of the effort to bring it back to its original glory.
CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, balance wheel not swinging freely and hairspring appears somewhat out of shape, overhaul needed, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some haze to plates; flawless dial; excellent minute hand, hour hand is broken off at base; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail, blue guilloche enamel is fully intact with only a few scattered short scratches, white enamel perimeter substantially intact with only a few small bits of loss; bow pivots semi-freely, crown shows light wear; clean plastic crystal.
